I created my 5-day Work Relationships Fast Track back in 2021 as a free week of leadership coaching support to help turbo boost your work relationships. Great relationships give you and your team the best chance of delivering AND feeling energised and inspired about your work. The Fast Track week is crammed full of practical tools that take minutes to learn and really have an impact.

Join me, Jennifer McCanna, Leadership Coach, for my 5 Day Work Relationships Fast Track Monday 10th to Friday 14th February – a week of daily bite size insights & tools you can fit in when it suits you, around your busy diary.

The FREE 5 Day Work Relationships Fast Track is for you if you would like to:

  • Learn some straightforward ways of building trust with colleagues and team members quickly, even when you can’t meet face to face. The success of your team comes down to the trust that exists between colleagues, so give your trust-building skills a boost!
  • Reflect on your natural style as a leader and manager and when and how you might adapt your approach, in order to get your message across and enjoy smoother working relationships.
  • Gain some top tips for influencing in your particular organisation (with all its quirks – all organisations are quirky!)
  • Feel supported by a leadership coach (me!)  for a week, prompting you to reflect on what you need, answering all your questions and re-fuelling your tank.

During this week I will share some of my best tools and techniques from my fifteen years of designing and delivering leadership development programmes, and coaching leaders and managers from across the globe. Thoughtful leaders like you can put these into practice straightaway, to help you build amazing work relationships with your team, your peers and senior stakeholders.

And all of this will take just 15 minutes per day – watch the 5 minute video and complete a small reflection/task when it suits you!

And if you engage with the challenge and do the tasks, your work relationships will be on track for a big leap forward – it is a fast track after all!

HOW IT WORKS

1. Sign up to the Fast Track by clicking here.

2. You’ll receive an email from me welcoming you and a few days before we kick off you’ll receive a link to the Facebook Group where the Fast Track will be held (you can take part without joining the Facebook group if that’s your preference.)

3. You’ll receive an email first thing each morning from Monday to Thursday during the week of the Fast Track with a five minute video message from me sharing the day’s insight and tiny, weeny task (chosen for their ability to have a big impact with minimal time investment!)

4. You’re then encouraged to post your reflections on the task thread in the Fast Track private Facebook group where I will be on hand to offer support, answer every single question and share even more insight and resources so you can put this learning into practice straightaway. This is where a lot of the learning happens as you read others’ reflections and the answers from me and other leaders in the group.

I’ll go Live every day at 12 noon but don’t worry if you’re not free then – you’ll be able to watch the replay! If you’ve taken part before, the content of my daily lives is all new for 2025 with a real focus on you and your wellbeing with reflection exercises as well as neuroscience insights.

The Fast Track is designed to fit around your busy diary. You need just 15 minutes a day, but for those of you who really want to get stuck in there will be lots of extra resources available to you.

Friday lunchtime is a moment of calm for you to invest in yourself and your energy with a 45 minute workshop. This Fast Track we will focus on boundaries at work – you’ll leave with insight into devising, communicating and keeping boundaries and what gets in the way.

I knew this would be helpful as I’ve worked with Jen before and I recognise that I enjoy this sort of thing and these conversations but I admit I was worried how I would fit it in this week. The structure of these 5 days have been perfect to dip in and out of without any pressure to be anywhere at a certain time. A lot of the learning this week has revitalised my confidence in getting out there and asking my stakeholders what they need from me rather than assuming we’re on the same page. Good timing as we come up to planning. Also I think it’s a good opportunity to reset expectations with my core teams and them with me. I started this as part of this and the feedback task and just a simple questions made some much difference to a relationship. I can’t believe I didn’t do it before!

WHO AM I?

I’m Jen, and I’m a leadership coach who has been coaching managers like you for fifteen years. Along the way I’ve learnt some great ways of building brilliant, supportive relationships at work, both through working with leaders across the world (in organisations like the UN, the UK’s Department for Education, global banks, finance companies, and leading charities such as British Red Cross, Christian Aid and Diabetes UK) and from my own experience as the leader of teams in various contexts.

I’ve ran my Free 5 day Work Relationships Fast Track six times since 2021 and have been amazed at the impact it has had on the wellbeing and confidence of those who have taken part. There is something very powerful about coming together with other leaders and managers, all doing different roles in different organisations, from a wide variety of sectors, but yet who are all facing similar challenges (because working with other human beings is full of those!)

I’ve been busy delivering in house leadership development programmes for the last 12 months but have cleared my diary to focus on the Fast Track this February and I can’t wait to support you – there is so much learning for all of us taking part.

Self-doubt has been running riot during the last few years, which is a lot to do with remote working, change and uncertainty, pandemics, the cost of living and worrying world events and political change. We get both support and validation for our contribution in so many subtle ways when we actually see our colleagues – body language, a smile in the lift, a bit of a laugh at the start of a meeting, that are often lost via Teams and Zoom!

So what to do? Getting some really practical, easy tools to help us manage our teams, through the journey to hybrid working, is such a confidence boost. The Fast Track works if you see your team every day, some days or never at all in person.

And no, there isn’t a magical way of leading a team that you’ve not been told about. There are however, lots of tools and approaches that can help you flex your approach so you get the most out of all your work relationships. And that’s what the Fast Track is all about.

Why is the Fast Track free?

Because so many managers end up leading teams without having had any management or leadership development – often their organisation doesn’t have the resources to provide that level of support. When I was a fundraising manager I managed a big team and had the benefit of some excellent leadership development, yet I know that a lack of investment in skills and support can leave you feeling demoralised, de-skilled or stuck. I’m passionate about demystifying what it means to be a really well-respected and inspiring leader or manager, and it’s my mission to provide practical support to folk like you so you can build your leadership skills and start enjoying your work again.

Full disclaimer: There will be an opportunity to join my my budget friendly 3 month leadership development programme – From Frazzled Boss to Inspiring Leader: the Essential Toolkit – at the end of the Fast Track, but there is absolutely no obligation to join and no hard sell at any point during the week. The Fast Track is designed as a standalone week of high-quality leadership development, my way of supporting folk who can’t necessarily afford 1-1 coaching support, or whose organisations don’t have the budget for leadership development.

Do I need to be on Facebook to take part?

Tasks will arrive by email as well as being posted in the group so it is possible to gain the learning and do the tasks without being on Facebook. We will download my daily lives which you’ll be emailed to enjoy at your leisure. You will just miss out on the learning that happens in the group when other managers share their experiences and insight in the comments, but you’ll be able to join the end of week celebration workshop Zoom on Friday lunchtime.
